Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR Therapy uses bilateral stimulation to change the way our brain holds trauma or negative events that can keep us stuck in fear, procrastination or maladaptive patterns. It’s one of the most effective modalities for treating trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, pain, addiction and more. When a client focuses on a disturbing memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation it triggers our innate adaptive information processing systemI have extensive training in EMDR. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

The IFS Institute describes IFS as a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal.

IFS is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.

But IFS is much more than a non-pathologizing evidence-based psychotherapy to be used in a clinical setting. It is also a way of understanding personal and intimate relationships and stepping into life with the 8 Cs: confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and connectedness.

The mission of IFS Institute is to bring more Self leadership to the world.

Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT)

Created by Dr Robert Miller, ImTT is a non invasive therapy using a breathing visualization exercise to release painful memories and images. It’s also helpful for physical pain as trauma gets stored in the body. I use ImTT in conjunction with EMDR, as it reduces the emotional intensity and flashbacks that are often pervasive following a traumatic event. This allows a person to process the material without feeling overwhelmed. https://www.imttherapy.com/about

Flash Technique (FT)

Developed by Dr Phil Mansfield, the Flash Technique (FT) is an evidenced-based therapeutic intervention for reducing the disturbance associated with traumatic or other distressing memories. Unlike some conventional trauma therapy interventions, FT is a minimally intrusive option that does not require the client to consciously engage with the traumatic memory. This method of bypassing the amygdala allows the client to process traumatic memories without feeling much distress. FT is an excellent adjunct to the EMDR preparation phase.

Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP)

Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that integrates the use of psychedelic substances, such as Ketamine, MDMA, psilocybin, Cannabis, LSD, and other molecules to facilitate the therapeutic process. These substances are used in a controlled and supportive setting, guided by trained therapists, to help individuals explore their inner experiences and emotions on a deeper level. PAP has shown promising results in treating various mental health conditions, such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and OCD by providing individuals with profound insights, emotional breakthroughs, and a shift in perspective. It can help individuals confront and process traumatic experiences, increase self-awareness, and promote personal and spiritual growth and healing. This approach is tailored to each individual's specific needs and goals, aiming to support them in integrating their psychedelic experiences into their overall therapeutic journey towards healing and transformation. Currently, Ketamine and Cannabis are predominantly used in the US as MDMA and Psilocybin are in clinical trials awaiting FDA approval. Psiliocybin is available for therapeutic use in some states, and countries.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

I offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in my office. Clients can experience profound shifts during these 3 hour journeys. Integration is an essential part of the process as new information and perspectives become available and are incorporated into lasting change.

Ketamine is a legal, fast-acting medicine originally developed as an anesthetic, now widely recognized for its powerful potential in healing mental and emotional suffering. Backed by neuroscience and clinical research, ketamine has been shown to support rapid relief from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and burnout, and even pain—especially in cases where traditional treatments have not been effective.

Ketamine is more than just a biochemical intervention. When used in a safe, intentional setting, it can catalyze profound insight and inner transformation. Many people describe ketamine experiences as spiritually meaningful, allowing them to connect with deeper parts of themselves, access buried emotions, and feel a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.

In ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), the medicine is paired with integrative therapeutic approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to support lasting change. These modalities allow us to gently process trauma, work with protective parts of the psyche, and restore a sense of internal balance. Ketamine helps quiet the inner critic and soften the grip of old survival patterns, making it easier to access wounded parts with compassion and move toward integration and healing.

Our work is trauma-informed, soul-centered, and grounded in neuroscience. We move at your pace, honoring your nervous system and your inner wisdom. Whether you’re seeking relief from suffering, reconnection with yourself, or a deeper sense of meaning, ketamine-assisted therapy offers a powerful, supportive space for healing and transformation.
